The Balusters on Broadway

The Vernon Point Neighborhood Association is a passionate bunch, whether squabbling over historically inaccurate porch railings or debating trash-can protocol. No one, though, is prepared for the neighbour-versus-neighbour battle that erupts when a newcomer to the board suggests the unthinkable: a stop sign on the corner of the enclave's prettiest block.

The play is written by Pulitzer Prize and Tony winner David Lindsay-Abaire, whose credits include Kimberly Akimbo, Rabbit Hole, Good People and Ripcord, and directed by Tony winner Kenny Leon, whose work includes Othello, Our Town, Topdog/Underdog and King James. It plays at the Samuel J. Friedman Theatre.
