New Orleans: Swamp Boat Ride & Oak Alley Plantation Tour
Veldu upplifun þína
The New Orleans: Swamp Boat Ride & Oak Alley Plantation Tour is a full-day guided excursion from New Orleans combining two distinct Louisiana landscapes: the cypress swamps of the Atchafalaya Basin and the antebellum grounds of Oak Alley Plantation on the River Road. Oak Alley is known for its quarter-mile canopy of 300-year-old live oaks leading to the 1839 Greek Revival house.
The swamp boat portion takes guests through bayou waterways where American alligators, egrets, and turtles are commonly sighted. At Oak Alley, visitors walk the oak alley itself and tour the plantation grounds, which include exhibits on the enslaved people who lived and worked there. Tickets cover guided commentary throughout, transport between stops, and admission to both sites.
