Enjoy snorkeling in the Red Sea and interact with Spinner Dolphins in Marsa Alam
Swim alongside wild spinner dolphins in their natural habitat on this full-day snorkelling adventure to Sataya Reef. Located within Sataya National Park in the Red Sea, this protected lagoon hosts a resident pod of playful spinner dolphins known for their acrobatic displays and curious nature around swimmers.
Your day begins with hotel pickup from Marsa Alam, followed by a scenic boat journey to the famous Dolphin House reef. The crystal-clear waters and thriving coral gardens make this one of Egypt's premier snorkelling destinations. You'll have multiple opportunities to enter the water and observe these magnificent marine mammals performing their signature spinning leaps and graceful underwater ballet.
Beyond the dolphin encounters, Sataya's coral formations teem with colourful reef fish and diverse marine life. The excellent visibility and calm waters create ideal conditions for snorkellers of all experience levels to explore this underwater paradise.
This tour runs for approximately 10 hours including hotel transfers. You'll need to pay a $5 per person Sataya National Park entry fee locally upon arrival.
The experience is suitable for children under adult supervision, but not recommended for very young children or non-swimmers due to the open water environment. Basic swimming ability is essential for safely enjoying the dolphin encounters.
As this takes place within a protected marine park, you must follow environmental guidelines including not touching the dolphins or coral formations. Your guide will provide a full safety briefing before each snorkelling session.
Bring sun protection, a towel, and waterproof camera to capture your dolphin encounters. If you're planning more Red Sea adventures, consider exploring the vibrant coral reefs around Marsa Alam or taking a diving excursion to deeper Red Sea sites to discover even more marine wonders.
