Kyoto Sake Brewery & Tasting Tour

The Kyoto Sake Brewery and Tasting Tour is a guided visit to one of the city's working sake producers, taking in the full production process from rice milling and fermentation through to bottling. Kyoto's soft water, drawn from the Fushimi aquifer system, has made the region one of Japan's most respected sake-producing areas for centuries, and the tour draws on that heritage directly.

Participants walk through active brewery areas, observe koji cultivation and moromi fermentation tanks, and finish with a structured tasting of several sake varieties, typically spanning junmai, ginjo, and daiginjo grades.
